When the card game began, Kinebuchi was one of very few 3D illustrators on the team. The software of the time could not do much, so the images were built from simple shapes, basic textures and lighting. That is why his cards are recognisable at a glance.
In Base Set he drew most of the Trainer cards – Gust of Wind, PlusPower, Switch, Potion, Computer Search and Clefairy Doll among them – and all seven Energy cards. Among the Pokémon he made Magneton, Gastly, Starmie and Staryu in Base Set, Vileplume in Jungle, and Gengar and Ditto in Fossil, with Magneton, Vileplume, Gengar and Ditto as holo cards.
He also illustrated some Trainer cards for the Pokémon Trading Figure Game.
A loose card has left its packaging and is therefore sold as a used item, however clean it is. Sealed products are sold as new. What does the condition mean?
