Yuka Morii
森井ユカ
Yuka Morii makes Pokémon out of clay, sets them up and photographs them – which is why her cards look like tiny film sets.

About Yuka Morii
Morii was born in 1965 in Tama, Tokyo, and is a sculptor, designer and author. She shapes Pokémon in polymer clay, including Fimo, places the figures in a scene and photographs them – the photo becomes the card’s image. In 1996 she won the clay-sculpting championship on TV Tokyo’s TV Champion, and since 2000 she has made images for the Pokémon card game.
Her best-known cards include Blissey in Neo Revelation, Light Azumarill in Neo Destiny and Raichu in Skyridge, all holo cards, and the three Ditto cards in EX Delta Species, in which Ditto is trying to look like Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle.
Outside Pokémon she has written a long series of books about everyday goods and supermarkets around the world, and she designed the Neko Cup, a cat-shaped mould that became popular for pudding in Japan and South Korea.
A loose card has left its packaging and is therefore sold as a used item, however clean it is. Sealed products are sold as new. What does the condition mean?
